Hey there! It has been some time since we last updated you and we hope this update can get you understand our latest progress and what to expect!

Latest timeline of the development of DungeonSwap

What have we been doing lately and our latest progress?

First we would like to thank you for your prolonged support. We have been progressing at all sides including smart contract, game design & graphic design.

In terms of smart contract, we have spent much time in the previous month and have finally completed an internal version which can run on its own (Imagine a dungeon game that can be played with command line lol). It is still not yet ready for the main net deployment but is enough for us to start merging this version of the smart contract with our front end. Therefore currently we are at full force developing the front end so that we can actually interact with the smart contract using our front end. Once this merging is done, we are close to releasing it.

Some big decision has been made, and this will also give you a better picture of what the game will be. We understand similar companies in the market has made games that required users to install the game, create a profile, buying NFTs and then start playing. However, you can expect that DungeonSwap will require none of them. Our philosophy is to minimize the barrier of entry, making users to be able to play the game directly on our website as long as they hold any DND. (In the future, we may even add functions like in-game auto purchase of DND!). Therefore, you can expect that you don’t need to install a game nor create a profile before you play, and NFT is not mandatory when playing. Just come to the website, buy DND, Yes, the game will not be very sophisticated (but we tried our best to give the best complexity allowed on a block chain), but it will be simple enough to allow the most people’s participation.

Another thing is graphics and NFT. You may have noticed that we have spent quite some time processing the airdrop. As there are really many good ideas submitted, we are actually trying to include a large number of them (maybe 50+). In that, we will need more support on the NFTs, mainly for the art part. (We could use your help! Refer to the last paragraph below for more!)

You may also notice that we are relatively quiet in terms of marketing now. Although we have on and on discussing partnership, we find that it is not the best time to scale up our marketing initiatives with the budget we have on our hand. We will scale up marketing around our releasing date and consider listing in centralised exchanges. (Hopefully, with the help of the realm, get us on Binance!)

When can we expect the game?

So it comes to the question which our supporters care the most is the release timeline. Given the current progress, we expect to release the first open-beta version of the game around mid-late-July and an official launch in August. We hope to have your continued support and most-respected patience!

The main reason that we have not yet released a demo is because we are still progressing on merging the smart contract side vs the UI design. The smart contract is currently functional within itself, but some more work is needed on the front end to allow us to interact with the front end along with some tuning and optimisation. The game UI that you saw in our earlier stage was a “non-blockchain game” that runs locally. The actual game will work exactly like what we have designed in the non-blockchain version, except that it runs on the blockchain! But we can promise that, in our open beta, you can see basically every thing you wanted to see, and you can even try it yourself!

We can use your help! Let us know if you can make 3D models/ Vector graphics!

Are you proficient in 3DMax/ Spine Animation/ Illustrator/ Photoshop and interested in creating NFT with DungeonSwap? Reach out to us now at telegram t.me/dungeonswap_admin or send a email to admin@dungeonswap.app and we can discuss further!

We also want to congratulate to the 305 airdrop winners in participating in the airdrop and contributing their excellent ideas in designing NFT equipment. We have taken note of all these ideas and we are trying to include more and more of these idea into our NFTs! Stay tuned!

Once again, thank you all for your support!
